Daniel Demery

Daniel Demery, a Red-shirt sophomore linebacker for the Arkansas State Red Wolves, is a driven and resilient individual. Known for his kindness, determination, and strong attention to detail, he also brings excellent organizational skills and values punctuality—always moving with respect for others’ time, thoughts, and ideas. Currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Biomedical Engineering, Daniel has developed a deep interest in creating tools that make surgery easier for doctors and nurses. His journey has been shaped by significant hardships, trials, and tribulations, which have fostered his independence and resilience. Growing up homeless from sixth grade until his senior year of high school, and enduring the loss of his mother in 2023, Daniel exemplifies perseverance, hard work, and self-reliance. These qualities are evident in everything he does—whether in the classroom, the weight room, the practice field, or on game day. In high school, Daniel was a unanimous three-star prospect, recognized by all major scouting outlets. Initially recruited as a top safety, he has since found a passion for playing linebacker. As a two-time team captain at Parish Episcopal High School, he earned first-team all-state honors in both 2021 and 2022.
